Overview

The E-Receipt Portal is a service featured by Xilnex. It allows buyers to submit their purchase details themselves through a public portal, so sellers do not have to collect information during a transaction checkout.
Collecting buyer information like phone numbers, IC numbers, contact details, or emails during a busy sale isn’t practical. It slows down the process, increases queue times and can lead to customer frustration.

How the portal simply the process?

  1. Just complete the sale as usual and there is no need to collect buyer info upfront. 
  2. Once the receipt is printed, the buyer can scan the QR code, fill in their details on the portal, and the system will automatically submit the invoice to IRBM for validation.
  3. Once processed, both the supplier (business owner) and the buyer will receive the E-Invoice via email, which also acts as a notification.

URL & Custom Domain

This section offers to customize the web address (URL) of the E-Receipt Portal. A custom domain can also be configured to align with company branding and improve customer recognition.
  1. Default URL (ereceipt.xilnex)
  2. Alternative domain (einvoiceportal.my)
  3. Custom Domain
This allows users to map the E-Receipt Portal URL to their own custom domain or Xilnex alternate domain for E-Invoice Portal.

Enable Alternative Domain (einvoiceportal.my)
  1. Enter a desired name (e.g. company brand name).
  2. Select ".einvoiceportal.my" at the drop down.
  3. Click the verify button to validate 
  4. Click Save.
Notes
Tips
  1. Request E-Invoice function is implemented within the E-Receipt Portal as an additional feature.
  2. E-Receipt is not the same as an E-Invoice. An E-Receipt is a digital version of a POS receipt, while an E-Invoice is structured invoice data submitted to and validated by LHDN Malaysia.
  3. The "Request E-Invoice (LHDN)" function must be enabled separately for E-Invoice QR Code to work.
  4. As of 2025, using the secondary URL is free of charge.
  5. Both URLs provided are landing pages for the e-receipt portal and require walk-in customers to manually fill in their invoice details.

The Rich Text Editor is divided into four sections that allow customization of company information. Content saved in Xilnex Portal will be reflected instantly on the E-Receipt Portal.

Theme & Styling

Logo and Background Settings
This setting customizes the company logo and background image.
  1. Logo
    1. Recommended dimension: 100 × 100px.
    2. Images with a rectangular shape will be compressed to fit these dimensions, which may cause distortion or odd appearance regardless of resolution.
    3. To avoid distortion, resize the image to match the required dimensions before uploading.
  2. Background Image
    1. Recommended dimension: 370 × 255px.
    2. Displayed only on the E-Receipt Portal main page.
