7.0 Gift Cards
The Gift Cards module allows members to send digital gift cards loaded with stored credits to friends or family — directly through the Xilnex Loyalty App. Gift cards are delivered via SMS or email and redeemed in-app, with no physical card required.
How It Works
A sender selects a gift card, loads a credit value, adds an optional message, and sends it to the recipient's phone number or email address. The recipient receives a notification with a redemption code, which they enter in the app to add the credits to their account balance.
Sending a Gift Card
- Select a Design — Open the Gift Cards section and choose a gift card design.
- Enter Credit Amount — Input the value of credits you wish to load onto the gift card.
- Add a Message (Optional) — Personalise the gift card with a custom greeting or message.
- Enter Recipient Details — Provide the recipient's phone number or email address.
- Confirm & Send — Review the details and confirm. The gift card is delivered instantly via SMS or email.
Receiving & Redeeming a Gift Card
Recipient Notification
- The recipient receives an SMS or email containing the gift card number and redemption instructions.
- The message includes a short greeting from the sender and guidance on how to redeem via the app.
Redeeming in the App
- Open the App — Launch the Xilnex Loyalty App and navigate to the Gift Cards section.
- Enter Redemption Code — Input the gift card code received via SMS or email.
- Credit Applied — Upon successful redemption, the credit value is added to the recipient's X-Card balance (via top-up credit).
Gift Card Collection & History
All sent and received gift cards are stored under the Gift Card Collection page in the app. Both senders and recipients can view:
