What is the Notification Module in Xilnex Mobility?
The Notification Module allows users to receive important updates, alerts, and system-generated messages directly within the mobile app. It acts as a central inbox for operational information, ensuring users stay informed without needing to access email or external message apps.
This module is preferred for one-way communication, where the users are only required to see the info without subsequent action.
Core Functions of the Notification Module
1. Task Assignment Notifications
- When a task (Reminder, Inventory, or Communication type) is assigned to the current login user or outlet, a notification is automatically generated
- The message includes the task type, title, start date and time, and end date and time for easy identification and action
2. Composed Message from Xilnex Portal
- Authorized users can compose and send manual messages to targeted outlets or user groups
- This is commonly used for bulk announcements or internal communication
3. ** Custom SQL-Based Notification
- Notifications are generated based on pre-defined SQL queries.
Intended as a replacement for notification in Slack, and is currently only configured for COM_1751, myBurgerLab.
Implementation for COM_1751: To send an EOD report to the selected user group once the outlet completes their EOD (a sample of the notification content is attached below)

Notification vs Reminder Task Type
The notification feature may seem similar to the Reminder task type in the Task module, where it is used to provide information to the recipient. The table below will provide a comparison between both features, for the user to decide which one is best suited depending on the current situation.
