What is Menu Session setting?

The Session function in Menu Management is designed to control when a menu is active and available for ordering. It ensures that menus are only shown or applied during their intended time periods, such as breakfast hours, lunch promotions, or special event dates.
Key Benefits:
  1. Ensures menus are automatically scheduled based on time and date.
  2. Reduces the need for manual switching between menus.
  3. Provides flexibility to manage daily operations, special events, and seasonal promotions.
  1. Time
    1. Defines the start and end time of a menu session.
    2. Example: Breakfast menu from 7:00 AM – 10:30 AM, Lunch menu from 10:31 AM – 2:00 PM, etc.
    3. If multiple sessions overlap, the system refers to the Priority Level to decide which menu to display.

  2. Repeat Options
Controls how often and under what conditions the session is repeated:
  • Everyday
    • The session is active daily at the defined time range.
    • Example: Happy Hour menu from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, valid every day.

  • Specific Day
    • The session runs only on selected weekdays.
    • Example: Monday Special Menu from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Mondays only.

  • Specific Date
    • The session applies to a particular calendar date.
    • Example: Valentine's Day Menu on 14th February only.

  • Specific Myself (custom setup)
    • Allows the business to manually define unique date and time ranges.
    • Example: Merdeka Menu active from 30th August until 1st September.
