Disconnecting or Reconnecting Xilnex for Lark

Disconnecting or Reconnecting Xilnex for Lark

Overview

This article covers how to disable a template, fully disconnect the integration from Lark, and reconnecting it again.

Disable a Template

Turning a base off only stops that one base, everything else keeps syncing, and none of your existing data in Lark gets deleted. Turn it back on and sync picks up again from that point forward; anything that happened while it was off won't be backfilled.

1. Go to Xilnex Portal → Plugins → Xilnex for Lark → Templates.

2. Filter by the template type.

3. Find the base you want to disable and toggle its status off.

4. Confirm the action in the dialog that appears.

Alert
Sync stops immediately, but existing data in Lark remains. To remove the data, manually delete the records or the Base table in Lark.

Fully Disable the Integration

Use this when you want to stop all syncing between Xilnex and Lark. Nothing already in Lark gets deleted.

1. Go to Xilnex Portal → Plugins → Xilnex for Lark → Configuration.

2. There is a To Disable guide provided.

3. Click on Click here which will take you to the Xilnex for Lark in the Lark App Directory.

4. In the Lark App, click on the three dots [...] menu and select Manage

5. You will be redirected to the app's configuration page in Lark.

6. Toggle off Enabled which will deactivate the app.

7. A pop-up will ask for your confirmation to deactivate the app. Click Confirm to proceed.

You will now be disconnected from Xilnex for Lark. You won't be able to perform any actions (creating a base, receiving approval, generating flash reports) until you reconnect. All the features, such as Templates, Approvals, P&L Operations and Users card will no longer be accessible.

Back in Xilnex Portal, the Configuration page now will show status Disconnected (offboarding). The Lark Connection panel confirms: Xilnex for Lark was deactivated alongside a panel noting the app was deactivated in Lark App Directory.

Alert
Existing data in Lark will still be accessible. Only new syncing stops.

Reconnecting the Integration

1. In Lark, go to Admin Console,  in the side panel under Apps, look for Xilnex for Lark and click Configure.

2. Toggle the Deactivated back to Enabled.

3. Back in Xilnex Portal, status returns to Active on its own. All cards and features are accessible again.

You can also click Redirect to Lark on the Configuration page itself to jump straight to Xilnex for Lark App in Lark and toggle it back on.

Info
There's no need to click Authorize again. Your existing authorization is restored automatically along with the toggle.
