A birthday is one of the most personal moments you can acknowledge as a brand. Customers who feel recognized on their birthday develop a stronger emotional connection to the business and data consistently shows that birthday campaigns generate significantly higher open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates compared to standard promotional emails.

Unlike other journeys that react to customer behavior, this one is entirely time-driven. The system proactively reaches out, meaning the customer doesn't need to do anything to receive the reward. Journey Flow
1. Automated Event — Birthday (During Birthday Month)
The journey is triggered automatically when the current month matches the customer's registered birth month. No customer action is required, the system fires this event on its own, ensuring every loyalty member is enrolled in the flow without exception.

2. Trigger Action — Issue Birthday Voucher
Once the event fires, the system immediately issues a birthday-exclusive voucher to the customer's account. This voucher should feel distinct from standard promotional offers a higher discount value reinforces that this reward is uniquely for them.

3. Trigger Action — Send Happy Birthday Email
Immediately after the voucher is issued, the system dispatches a personalized birthday email to the customer. The email should include a warm greeting, the voucher details, and a clear CTA to encourage redemption.

4. End Journey
The flow concludes after the birthday email is sent.
