Importing Usernames in Xilnex Portal
What is User Import?
User Import allows you to add, update, or manage multiple users in bulk rather than handling them one by one. This feature is especially useful for onboarding new employees, migrating data, or making large-scale updates to user roles and permissions quickly. It helps save time, ensures consistency, and reduces manual entry errors.
How to Access User Import
1. Go to [System Configuration] from the menu bar.
2. Select [User Management] > [User Role].
3. Select [User Import and Log].
4. Click [IMPORT] in the top-right corner.
5. An import form will appear where you can upload your file.
If you do not have the import file template, click [Sample user CSV template] to download it.
6. After filling in the CSV template, upload it in one of two ways:
- Drag and drop the file into the highlighted section, or
- Click the section to browse and select the file from your computer.
7. Use the [Show Preview] feature to review the uploaded file before importing.
8. Once confirmed, click [IMPORT] to proceed.
If the system detects duplicate or existing records during import, a confirmation message will appear. You can then choose whether to proceed with the import or cancel.
Yes: Update the existing records with the new details from the file.
No: Ignore those records and keep the existing data unchanged in the database.
9. Once the file has been successfully imported, the system will display a success message to confirm completion. You may then review the newly added or updated records in the [User Import] and [Log history] for verification.
