What is Promotion Checking Tools in Xilnex?

Introduction

Use case
This tool helps you simulate and test your promotion setups in Xilnex. It's especially useful for verifying time-sensitive, branch-specific, or customer-specific promotions before they go live — ensuring that all your configurations behave as expected under different conditions.

Where to find it?
  1. You can search "Promotion checking tool" in search bar to immediately locate it.
  2. Alternatively, it's park under Customer Engagement > Promotion Checking Tool.

How to Use It?

1. Select Your Simulation Conditions
Under "Checking for", set the primary simulation conditions:
  1. Platform: Choose where you're checking from (e.g., LiveOrder, Classic POS, etc.).
  2. Branch: Pick the branch (e.g., MAIN BRANCH) the transaction is happening at.
  3. Fulfillment Type: Choose the order type such as Delivery, Pickup, etc.
Notes
Once these 3 are selected, click the green "APPLY" button to activate the base conditions.
Make sure you add at least one item to simulate a transaction

2. (Optional) Refine with Advanced Conditions
Click + More conditions to test specific promotion scenarios by setting:
  1. Sales Person
  2. Customer Type
  3. Customer Group
  4. Xcard Type
  5. Priority
  6. Payment Method
  7. Sales Date (simulate future or past promotions)
This helps you mimic real-world customer profiles or time-specific promos (e.g., festive campaigns, VIP-only rewards, weekday-only discounts).

3. Add Test Items
In the lower section:
  1. Search by item code or scan a barcode
  2. Enter quantity
  3. Click ADD
This step mimics a cart or order entry, letting the system validate if the promotion will apply based on the items and quantity.

4. View Results
Once items are added:
  1. The system will return whether any promotions are triggered based on your setup.
  2. You can adjust conditions and try again to ensure all edge cases are covered.
