LiveOrder New UI Announcement

LiveOrder — New Ordering Experience Now Available

What's New? We're excited to introduce LiveOrder New UI, a redesigned ordering experience built to make ordering faster and easier for your customers.

What's Changing — and Why It Matters

We've rebuilt the customer-facing ordering experience from the ground up. The new UI is not just a visual update — it's a rethink of how customers order to reduce friction and improve their experience.

The Headline Numbers

Key Features in the New UI

Quick Checkout for Returning Customers

Returning customers now see their last order pre-loaded on the landing page. One tap pre-fills the cart; they confirm and pay. This makes reordering seamless and fast.

The search bar is now permanently visible at the top of the menu, making it easier to find items. Your search results also persist when switching categories — no more losing your search when browsing.

Redesigned Order Summary

The order flow is now more intuitive:

Order Details → Recommended Add-ons → Your Orders → Promo Code → Grand Total → Place Orde

Beside that, the Payment methods are now in a clean, collapsed selector that expands when needed — no more cluttered inline lists.

Better Item Display

  • Items are displayed with larger frames so customers can see bigger images with more details
  • Quantity badges appear directly on menu items so customers can see what's in their cart without opening it
  • All modifier labels have been adjusted for clarity

Unified Visual Design

All screens now use a consistent new UI design system, creating a polished and professional experience across the entire ordering process.

Rollout Timeline

new UI is rolling out gradually to ensure a smooth transition:

Phase
What Happens
Phase 1
Selected merchants pilot the new experience
Phase 2
New merchants automatically receive new UI
Phase 3
All existing merchants migrate to new UI
Phase 4
New UI becomes the only standard

What Hasn't Changed

  • Merchant settings — menus, prices, service types, and payment methods work the same way
  • Order data & receipts — all your order history and records are unchanged
  • Loyalty & promo codes — these features work exactly as before in new UI
  • POS integration — all backend systems continue to work seamlessly

Frequently Asked Questions

"The ordering page looks completely different — is this a bug?"

No, this is intentional! Your merchant has upgraded to LiveOrder New UI, a redesigned ordering experience with a faster, easier flow. If you prefer the previous layout, your merchant can adjust this in their settings.

"There are items shown on my screen that I didn't ask for — is this a mistake?"

This is the Quick Checkout feature. If you've ordered from this merchant before, your last order appears on the landing page for quick reordering. You can tap to pre-fill your cart or ignore it and browse normally.

"The search bar is always visible now — is this new?"

Yes! In the new UI, the search bar is always visible at the top. This makes searching more discoverable and lets you find items faster.

"The payment method selector looks different"

In new UI, payment methods are in a bottom sheet that opens on tap, rather than displayed inline. Just tap the payment selector on your order summary to see all available options.

How to Get Started — Portal Configuration

For Merchants: Enable or Manage V5

You can control the V5 experience for your outlets through the Xilnex Portal:

Portal Location:

Sales Channel > Live Order > Store Setup > Theme & Styling

Or navigate directly to: https://portal.xilnex.com/SalesChannel/LiveOrder/StoreSetup/ThemeStyling

Configuration Steps:

  1. Log in to your Xilnex Portal
  2. Navigate to Sales Channel → Live Order → Store Setup → Theme & Styling
  3. Select the New UI setting:
    • Classic UI (Default) — Customers see the previous ordering experience
    • New UI —Customers see the new V5 ordering experience
  4. Save your changes

When the Setting Takes Effect?

Your selection takes effect on your customers' next page load with zero downtime. You can toggle between new UI and the Classic UI at any time. (Before Phase 4 landed)
